Requirements

You need at least Premium URL Shortener 4.2.3. This will not work with earlier versions.

Installation

  • Download the zipped theme to your local computer from CodeCanyon and extract the ZIP file contents to a folder on your computer.
  • In the extracted folder you will find Light(Extract This).zip Extract this file too.
  • Using an FTP client like filezilla to access your host web server.(download here)
  • Upload folder called light to /themes directory provided by main script.



  • Login as admin then click on "Admin" button at the top of page.
  • In admin area click "Themes" then click "active" under Light theme.
  • Click "View Site".


Note: You can upload Light(Extract This).zip directly through File Manager in your host to "themes" folder then extract it.

Add new string to language files

Click "Settings" in sidbar menu then select "language" tab. Click Update button.
(Note: this keep previous translations and Just need for first time however backup language files in "includes/languages" folder.)

Setting up your theme

Click "Settings" in sidbar menu then select "Theme Setting" tab.


Home background:

Upload your images via upload form (Dashed border box)
(Just JPG files - recomannded size: 1920*1080 pixels - max 600 KB )

For optimizing and reduce size image or convert png to jpg, open image with photoshop then click File -> Save For Web -> jpeg (more info)
You can find free images here: pixabay.com

If you upload more than one image, script select random image between your images for background.
You can change background image to random image automatically for each hour or day or month.

For large image set Repeat Background to no-repeat. if you want use small image you can set it to repeat otherwise background image to be as large as possible so that the background area is completely covered by the background image.

if you want use one centered small background image set Repeat Background to no-repeat and add this code to "Custom CSS"
.large-header{background-size: inherit;}

The "Background Position" sets the starting position of a background image.(default: 50% 0%)


Check "Animated Background" for animated effect on image.
You can set custom color and Effect type for Animated Background too.


Check "Hide Animated Background in Mobile" Highly Recommended check this.

Check "No Background in phone" for hide large backgroud just in phone.

Check "Dots Overlay" for Show matrix dots on background image.

If you don't need background image just check "No Background" and save setting.

YouTube Video Background:

If you want use youtube video background instead image just check "Show Video" and add youtube video ID's(the part after "v=" in link).
One video ID per line. (split by enter)

Custom Favicon:

Upload your favicon via upload form in "Home background" section .( Allowed extension: ico - just one ico file)
You can convert your PNG logo to ICO here: convertico.com

Custom Layout:

Select custom Layout for "Shorten button", "Features", "Register" and "Counters".

Divider:

Select section divider.

Ads:

Add your ads codes for show in "Your last 10 URLs", "Latest Public URLs" and "Top 10 Public urls" scetions.
You can use different ads for each section. these are different from ads in main script and you should add your ads in main script too.

Social:

  • Entre your social pages links for show related icon in header.
  • Leave empty for hide.

    • Speed Up:

    Check Hide favicons for hide favicons in Your last 10 URLs, Latest Public URLs and Top 10 Public urls scetions. (This speeding up page load time by reduce the number of requests.)

    Check Show image after load for load background image after page load.

    Custom CSS:

  • You can add your css codes for customize your theme.

    • Languages:

  • Select RTL(Right To Left) languages like arabic, persian and ... .(theme support rtl languages)
  • You can add custom Title, Description and Keywords for each language. if you leave empty these fileds, theme show main title and description that you entered in main script setting. This improve your site SEO.

    • Note: Separate description and keywords with comma(,)


    Once its all done, make sure you click the "Save Setting" button.

    More Configorations

    site title and description

    Put your words(sentences) in the "site description" and separate with comma(,) for rotating words(sentences).

    Social Login

    Social Login enables users to login to your site using their social identity from social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, Google If you want show social login icons in home page You must enable twitter connect for it to appear and function. You can do that on the admin panel.(Read main script documentation)

    Font

    Google font used in demo is "Lato".

    How to Update

    How to Update (from version 1.3 to version 1.4)

    Before update please backup config.php file in light folder. If you changed codes backup light folder.


    1-Enable Maintenance mode in main script setting.( Settings-> Application Settings-> Site Online/Offline)
    2- Use file manager in your host and go to "themes/light" folder then rename or delete light folder.
    3- Upload new version to themes folder. (Follow above installation guide)
    4- Upload and replace your backup config.php file in light folder.
    5- Update language files if you didn't updated in version 1.2 else not need to update. See here
    6- Go theme setting and customize your theme.
    7- Disable Maintenance mode.

    How to Update (from version 1.2 to version 1.3)

    Before update please backup config.php file in light folder. If you changed codes backup light folder.


    1-Enable Maintenance mode in main script setting.( Settings-> Application Settings-> Site Online/Offline)
    2- Use file manager in your host and go to "themes/light" folder then rename or delete light folder.
    3- Upload new version to themes folder. (Follow above installation guide)

    5- Update language files if you didn't updated in version 1.2 else not need to update. See here
    6- Disable Maintenance mode.
